What do “Opaque Void”, “Song of the Wind” or “Laughing Gas” sound like? The titles of contemporary musical compositions can make us smile, intrigue us, even irritate us. Sometimes a programmatic title hides a conceptual idea or the semantic core of the piece being played, and sometimes it is merely a poetic association. The first concert of the Union of Composers’ festival “Five Evenings” will feature nine contemporary scores that invite listeners to embark on an unusual sonic journey.
