DESCRIPTION:Fyodor Sofronov’s concert-lecture series “The Gaze of Our Hearing”\nConcert-lecture No. 5 “A New European Mythology” \nIn the 2025–2026 season the Music Studio and the Zotov Centre continue the series of concert-\nlectures “The Gaze of Our Hearing”\, devoted to the intersections of music and painting in the\ntwentieth century. Each concert is accompanied by an interdisciplinary dialogue between musicologist and\ncomposer Fyodor Sofronov and experts from various fields of contemporary art. \nIn the fifth concert of the series\, musicologist and composer Fyodor Sofronov and poet and Doctor of Philology Dimitris Yalamas\nwill speak about the music of the named composers\, as well as about myth and number in\nEuropean culture.\nProgramme: music by Iannis Xenakis\, Giacinto Scelsi and Sofia Gubaidulina \n\nThe concert will be accompanied by a dialogue of experts: musicologist\, composer and associate professor of the Moscow Conservatory Fyodor Sofronov\nand art critic\, curator\, art historian and associate professor of Moscow State University Sergey Khachaturov. \n
