Boulez.doc is a popular-science project of the Centre for Contemporary Music and the almanac
“Time to Hear / Hear the Time”. Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Pierre
Boulez, it continues a series of meetings in which the legacy of avant-garde composers is explored through readings of reminiscences, press coverage and articles
about them.
The Boulez.doc readings will open with a lecture by Doctor of Arts and musicologist Tatiana
Tsaregradskaya, “Boulez: How We See Him Today”. The readings will also include
a meeting with the music critics Ilya Ovchinnikov and Natalia Surnina, who
will talk about Boulez’s brainchild, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, and about their conversations with the
current artistic director of the ensemble, Matthias Pintscher.
