The ensemble’s repertoire includes virtually all chamber and chamber-orchestral music of the 20th and 21st centuries, from the early Russian avant-garde and Western modernism to works written in recent years. Composers who have written specifically for the Studio include Maarten Altena, Yuri Vorontsov, Alexander Vustin, Roman Ledenev, Faraj Karaev, Yuri Kasparov, Igor Kefalidi, Martijn Pudding, Louis Nahon, Enno Poppe, Roger Ratgate, Vladimir Tarnopolsky, Ivan Fedele, Nikolaus Huber, Gerard Zinnstag, and many others. The ensemble’s musicians pay special attention to diverse collaborations with young composers – commissioning new works, conducting lectures, master classes, competitions (in 2001-2015 – the International Competition for Young Composers named after P. Jurgenson, since 2018 – the International Competition for Young Composers “New Classics”).

The ensemble actively performs in Russia and abroad.
